Meet LGBRC Member
David Puglia

David is a master racer and LGBRC sponsor who races road, cyclocross, X-Country and Mountain Bike.
What attracted him to cycling: I started cycling at Rutgers University and participated in some collegiate events then forgot about cycling for some time.

"When I moved to California in 1986 I started cycling seriously once again - including competing in the Cat's Hill. In 1999 my son Thomas (then 14) decided he wanted to try competitive cycling. I had started him bicycling at a very young age. He learned his cycling skills off-road on a mountain bike. He also decided to join a bike club and found LGBRC on the internet. That led him to the Cat's Hill his first competitive event in cycling. I dusted off my old 7 speed Steelman with downtube shifters and gave it to him for the race. Since then he and I have been members of LGBRC and have enjoyed the sport together."

What does he consider his greatest cycling achievement to date? 2nd Place Overall Masters 45+ Surf-City Cyclo Series 2001 (5 Races).

His other interests? "When not bicycling I can be found with my kids on the ski slopes of the Sierras in Winter or on the hiking trails of Yosemite in the Summer."

He says he is proud to be a member of LGBRC!
