"After a few years out of the saddle, I moved
to CA and fell in love with cycling again. It
began as envy of so many cyclist out on the
road that I knew were traveling down roads
I'd never know. Then it turned into the
love of speed and pushing myself to go as fast
and as far as I could. "
After a four year hiatus from riding, Beth
dusted off her trusty Cannondale and began
training again in the winter of 2006. She
completed her first official century ride in
Solvang, CA in March 2007. From that
moment she was hooked on endurance riding and
set her sights on winning her CA Triple Crown
Award. Three weeks after her second ever
hundred-miler, Beth returned to Solvang to
complete her first double century. The
Davis Double and the Grand Tour Highland Tour
Double Century round out the requisite three
doubles in one season necessary to accomplish
her goal of having her very own coveted Triple
Crown Winner jersey. This fall will mark
her transition from a focus on endurance riding
into road and criterium racing.
When she's not training, you'll find Beth checking
out art or independent cinema or mentoring
a group of riders with the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society's Team in Training.
