 Steve Mason Steve joined LGBRC in 2012 as a cat. 5 racer on road and track. He says, "I have been riding since I was a kid. I started on a 3 speed and then upgraded to a Sears Huffy one Christmas. My dad and I started to do longer and longer rides working up to centuries and doubles. I became involved in racing while in college but stopped after graduating." "When I was 16, my father and I bicycled from Palo Alto to Boston. We went 4,400 miles in 44 days." He adds, "When I am not riding my bike, I masquerade as engineer for an IBM business partner." |
