Kelly Bartholomew is new to the team in 2009, but not new to bike racing. She started her athletic career at age 10 running cross country and track races, and kept running until she discovered cycling while attending college at the Ohio State University. While there, she became an avid racer, even missing a few football games to go on training rides or races.

After college Kelly threw her bike in her car and headed west for a job and the California racing scene. For the past several years she has been focused on track racing and can often be found at the Hellyer velodrome in San Jose.

Kelly is considered to be a track endurance racer, which can be confusing to most road riders as her races never last more than 40 minutes. Her favorite races include the points race and miss & out because they are more tactical, and often the smartest will win over the strongest.

Kelly is a three time US masters national track champion and hopes to promote women’s track racing and riding within the SugarCRM team.
