Doug Ambrisko

Doug joined LGBRC with his wife Dana and daughter Ashely in 2008. Doug is a Cat 3 racer on the road, Cat 2 on the track. He is a crit and track racer who started when he sold his IBM PC computer when he was in college and bought a road bike for fitness.

When asked what he considers his greatest cycling achievement he replies, "That is tough.  There are so many good memories.  I've been riding for so many years, it's just what I do. I guess sharing cycling with my family."

Doug's profession is a Software Engineer.  Other hobbies are autocrossing in which he's an instructor, "team mechanic" and coach for daughter Ashley's quarter midget sprint car racing.  He adds, "I've trained kids as young as 4 to drive a real race car."

Doug states, "I Joined LGBRC so our daughter could ride with other juniors.  My goal is to safely introduce our daughter into racing on the road and track and have her learn the feeling of riding with great friends and racing with team-mates."
