Rick Adams
Rick Adams is a category 2 racer who
joined LGBRC in 2006. His emphases are
Road and Track.
When asked what attracted him to cycling, he says,
"I loved riding my bike as a kid. In high school
when I was a sophomore I broke my arm, leaving me unable
to play football. I joined a cycling club the next
spring, in 1973.
When asked what he considers his greatest cycling achievement,
he answers, "A 12th place in the 1981 P/1 Cat's
Hill Crit, a race I never want to ride again -- way
too hilly!
He advises, "Goals are critical, but make sure
you enjoy the path to the goal because you are on the
path for a long time and you achieve your goal only
for a moment!"
